Tasik Puteri Golf & Country Club has signed an affiliation agreement with the newly opened Hanoi Golf Club with a view to creating better ties between the two golf clubs.
The signing ceremony, held at Hanoi GC, was officiated by Nubuo Muroga, General Director of Hanoi GC, and Y.P. Tan, on behalf of Low Gee Teong, Chairman of Tasik Puteri Golf & Country Club.
Commenting on the affiliation, Tan said: “With the signing of the affiliation, we hope to create better ties between these two clubs. Moreover, since this is Visit Malaysia Year 2007, we hope that it will help to promote the golfing industry by bringing in more tourists and golfers to Malaysia.”
Located a Minh Tri Commune, SocSon District, Hanoi, Vietnam – a 15-minute drive from the Noi Bai Airport, Hanoi GC is a joint venture company that cquired its investment license from the Ministry of Planning and Investment in January 2004.
Susumu Fujiwara, a golf architect who designed more than 30 layouts in the Kansai region of Japan and Hainan Island, China, crafted the course.
Hanoi GC is set on a gentle southern slope blessed with a picturesque mountain in the background. Because of its ideal location, there is often a slight breeze even during hot summer days.
Although this challenging course has spacious greens and fairways, good course management is required thoroughout the 18 holes. The design is such that golfers of all skills levels, from the beginners to the scratch players, will be challenged while enjoying their game.
The 300-yard driving range has two large putting greens and a practice bunker adjacent to it while the club provides excellent facilities.
